Vernon says Vision Government Solutions began field review and data collection for the state-mandated revaluation in 2026. Inspectors verify property-record information; the revaluation process is separate from simply paying the current July 2026 bill.

Vernon announced a 2026 enforcement program for vehicles garaged in Town but registered in another municipality or state. The Town says its Assessor can seek up to three years of back taxes and interest when a vehicle should have been registered in Vernon.
