Pittsfield property tax due dates
Pittsfield uses quarterly real estate and personal property billing. The City generally mails two coupons around June 30 and another two around December 30.
| Quarter | Regular due date | Typical mailing group |

| 1st quarter | August 1 | June mailing |
| 2nd quarter | November 1 | June mailing |
| 3rd quarter | February 1 | December mailing |
| 4th quarter | May 1 | December mailing |
If the first day of the month falls on a day when the Tax Collection Office is closed, the City states that the due date moves to the following business day. Always use the date printed on your current bill when it differs from a general schedule.

Common Pittsfield tax payment problems
I did not receive my real estate tax bill
Contact the Tax Collector rather than waiting for another mailing. Have the property address and parcel information available so staff can identify the account and confirm the balance.
The payment does not appear on my account
Keep the payment confirmation, bank record or cancelled-check evidence. Call the Tax Collector and explain when and how the payment was made so staff can research the transaction.
I am trying to pay delinquent motor vehicle excise
Do not assume the current-bill portal is the correct route. Pittsfield uses Kelley & Ryan as its Deputy Collector for delinquent excise accounts, and the City’s payment page directs those bills separately.
I think the property value is wrong
The Collector cannot change the assessed value. Contact the Pittsfield Board of Assessors about valuation or abatement procedures while separately observing the payment requirements shown on the bill.
