Why the payable 2026 bill can appear in a “2025 Town Tax Roll” PDF
Dutchess County publishes the 2026 county/town tax roll using the prior final assessment roll. The Stanford PDF header can therefore say “2025 Town Tax Roll” while the bill line shows a February 28, 2026 payment date.
135200 identifies the Town of Stanford roll.
The county’s 2026 roll is based on the July 1, 2025 final assessment roll; the PDF also displays valuation and taxable-status dates used for that roll.
The Stanford roll shows one county/town payment date rather than a three-installment schedule.
Common lines on a Stanford county/town bill
Due date, penalty period and county handoff
Dutchess County says county/town bills are sent in January and are payable without interest through the last day of February. Stanford is not one of the three towns that offer county/town installments.

Stanford school taxes are not the same as the county/town bill
School taxes generally follow a September/early-October calendar and are collected by the school district shown on the bill. A Stanford parcel may be associated with different school-district records depending on location.
Select School—not Town—when looking for a school-tax record in Info-Tax.
Contact the district printed on the bill. Town Hall cannot necessarily post or correct a school-district payment.
Some Dutchess-area school districts allow two installments, but the rule depends on the district—not the Town of Stanford.

| Your question | Correct office | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| How much was due during the Town collection period? | Tax Collector | Local county/town bill and payment records. |

2026 assessment increase and Grievance Day guidance
The Town Assessor page says its materials explain a 21% 2026 assessment increase. That does not mean every parcel should be assumed to change by exactly 21%; review the parcel record, market evidence and exemption status.
The BAR packet lists a 100% equalization rate and 100% residential assessment ratio.

How do I look up Stanford NY tax bills online?
Open Info-Tax Online, choose Dutchess County and “Stanford, Town of,” select Town or School, then search by partial owner name, property location or tax-map number. Verify the owner, parcel, year and amount before using the record.
Is Stanford NY the same as Stamford NY?
No. The Town of Stanford is in Dutchess County. The Town of Stamford is in Delaware County, and the City of Stamford is in Connecticut. Each has a different collector and payment system.
When was the 2026 Stanford county/town tax due?
The official Stanford roll shows one amount due by February 28, 2026. Dutchess County says county/town bills are payable without interest through the last day of February. An unpaid account in August 2026 requires a current delinquent payoff from Dutchess County Finance.
Can Stanford county/town taxes be paid in installments?
No standard installment option is listed for Stanford. Dutchess County identifies only Poughkeepsie, Wappinger and Hyde Park as towns offering three county/town installments. The Stanford roll shows a single payment date.
Why has my Info-Tax payment not appeared yet?
Info-Tax says online payments can take about three business days to clear and may not display until the collector processes them. Keep the confirmation and contact the responsible collector before submitting a duplicate payment.
What should I do if I did not receive a Stanford tax bill?
Search Info-Tax and the official Dutchess County tax roll, verify the mailing and ownership information, and contact the responsible collector. Also ask a mortgage servicer for proof when the bill should have been paid from escrow.
Are Stanford school taxes paid to the Town Tax Collector?
Not necessarily. School taxes are separate from the county/town bill and use the school district and collector shown on the bill. Select the School category in Info-Tax and follow the district’s deadline and installment rules.
Should I call the Tax Collector or the Assessor?
Call the Tax Collector or Dutchess County Finance for bills, payments, receipts, penalties and payoff amounts. Call the Stanford Assessor for property value, ownership, exemptions, assessment records and grievance questions.
