Find the right Manchester Tax Collector before you pay online
“Manchester Tax Collector” can mean three common offices: the Town of Manchester Collector of Revenue in Connecticut, the Manchester Township Tax Collector in Ocean County, New Jersey, or the City of Manchester Tax Collector in New Hampshire. The payment portal, phone number, office hours and assessor database are different for each one.
Start by matching your state and bill name. Then use the correct tax office for bills and payments, the assessor for value or property-card records, and the official portal for tax account history.
Which Manchester Tax Collector do you need?
Use the Manchester Tax Collector only after you identify the correct state. The collector handles tax bills, payment posting, balances, receipts and delinquent collection. The assessor handles property value, exemptions, property cards and assessment database questions.

How to pay a Manchester tax bill online without using the wrong portal
The safest workflow is the same in all three states: start from the official local-government page, open the official payment portal from that page, match the bill, review fees, then save proof. Do not start from a sponsored result or an old saved link.
Look for CT, NJ or NH on your bill, account page, envelope, mortgage notice or DMV message. Manchester is not one office across the country.
Use ManchesterCT.gov, ManchesterTwp.com, or ManchesterNH.gov first. From there, open the payment link supplied by the government office.
Use owner name, street address, bill number, account ID, block/lot, parcel details, or vehicle link information depending on the state portal.
Confirm real estate, personal property, motor vehicle, supplemental motor vehicle, utility, water/sewer or district bill before paying.
Card, e-check, real estate, water/sewer and vehicle fees are not identical across CT, NJ and NH. The checkout screen controls the final fee.
Keep the confirmation number, receipt, account screen, payment date and bill year. For DMV or lien issues, call the office after payment if timing matters.
Manchester Tax Collector phone numbers, office addresses and hours
Call the correct office if you need a payoff, receipt, DMV release, lien question, mailed-payment issue, missing bill, duplicate bill or account correction. Do not call another Manchester and ask them to search your bill; their systems are separate.

Manchester tax due dates are different in CT, NJ and NH
Do not copy a due date from one Manchester to another. Connecticut, New Jersey and New Hampshire use different billing calendars, late-interest systems and payment rules.
The Town reported that October 1, 2025 Grand List bills were mailed June 22, 2026, and failure to pay tax due by August 3, 2026 makes it delinquent with 1.5% monthly interest back to July 1, 2026. Supplemental motor vehicle bills are a separate January-style timing issue.
Property taxes are due four times per year: February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. The Township lists a 10 calendar-day grace period, and annual tax bills are mailed once annually in July.
Property taxes are billed semiannually. The City says the first bill is mailed at the end of May or early June and due 30 days later; the second/final bill is mailed mid-to-late November and due 30 days later.
Manchester tax assessor database: use it for value, not payment
A tax collector collects the bill. An assessor explains the assessed value, property record, exemption status, revaluation information and assessment changes. If the amount looks wrong, separate “how much do I owe?” from “why is my property valued this way?”
| Location | Assessor route | Use for | Official link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manchester CT | Town of Manchester Assessment Office / Vision database | Fair market value, assessments, real estate, personal property, motor vehicles, exemptions, revaluation and property database searches. | Open CT Assessment Office |
| Manchester Township NJ | Manchester Township Tax Assessor / Ocean County tax search | Assessment information, tax maps, GIS, reassessment, deductions, senior/veteran deduction forms and county tax search database. | Open NJ Tax Assessor |
| Manchester NH | City of Manchester Assessors Office / Vision Appraisal | Assessed value, property characteristics, parcel dimensions, photos, appraisal information, abatements, exemptions and credits. | Open NH property information |
Manchester tax records, payment history and property records
“Tax records” can mean several different things. Use the collector portal for bills and payment history. Use the assessor system for value and property-card information. Use land-record or deed offices when the issue is a recorded document, not a tax bill.
Use the collector or tax account portal. CT MyTaxBill offers search options such as name, property, bill number, account ID, Tax ID, Link ID and IRS payment records. NH account search offers Account ID, street address and owner-name searching. NJ routes through WIPP and the Township office.
Use the relevant collector portal and verify against your own records. Online systems often warn that municipal records control if there is a discrepancy.
Use Manchester CT Vision, Manchester Township/Ocean County assessment search, or Manchester NH Vision/Appraisal and Assessors Office resources.
Use the assessor or clerk/registry route named by that city or town. A collector may not be able to change ownership or mailing-address records directly.
Delinquent tax, DMV, lien and vehicle-registration warnings
Late tax rules become local and state-specific fast. Do not estimate payoff from an old bill if interest, vehicle clearance, tax sale, lien release or tax deed timing is involved.
The Town’s online payment page directs payment inquiries and re-registration clearance questions to the Collector’s office at 860-647-3018 or collector@manchesterct.gov. All outstanding motor vehicle taxes associated with your name may need to be paid for immediate DMV clearance.
The Township Tax Collector page includes tax sale notice resources and a tax sale list/legal advertisement. If the account may be in sale status, call the Tax Collector before relying on a normal portal balance.
The City explains delinquent taxes, notice of arrearage, impending liens, lien execution, 14% lien interest after execution, and tax deed timing. Use the City’s Real Estate Process page before making assumptions.
Before you call or visit a Manchester tax office
Prepare your account details before calling. It saves time and reduces the chance of staff searching the wrong bill type or wrong Manchester.
