What changed in this Wildwood tax guide
The page now focuses on City of Wildwood user tasks instead of broad state-wide tax widgets. The strongest search intent is payment lookup, office contact, due dates, grace period, Block and Lot matching, tax sale, lien redemption, tax map, Tax Assessor routing, sewer/water balances and wrong-Wildwood-municipality prevention.
No generic all-state penalty calculator, no unrelated Texas warning, no broad doorway-style block above the official Wildwood payment route.
Includes Wildwood billing stubs, certified-fund rules, tax sale sequence, PD#5 deadline, eCode fee notes and tax-map steps.
Official links appear next to the task they solve, with instructions before the user clicks.

Use the North Wildwood Tax Collector guide if the property or sewer account is in North Wildwood.

How to pay City of Wildwood taxes, sewer or water through WIPP
The official City Tax Collector page links to WIPP / Edmunds for tax, sewer and water account inquiry and online payments. Use WIPP to confirm the account before paying, not after.

City of Wildwood tax due dates, grace period and interest
Wildwood property taxes are due quarterly on the first day of February, May, August and November. The City lists a 10-day grace period, but the grace period is not a new due date.
Use WIPP or your tax bill to confirm the balance. Do not wait for a reminder if mail is delayed.
Check escrow status if a mortgage company should pay.
Watch for annual-bill timing, estimated bill notices or a special city notice.
Act early because delinquent accounts can move toward the accelerated tax sale process.
The City lists interest at 8% per annum on delinquencies up to $1,500.
The City lists interest at 18% per annum on delinquencies over $1,500.
How City of Wildwood property tax billing works
The City says the Tax Collector normally bills once a year in June. The bill normally includes the third and fourth quarters of the current year plus estimated first and second quarters for the next year.
Send the correct collector’s stub with a mailed payment. The stub helps the office post the payment to the right quarter.
Budget and tax-rate timing may lead to an estimated third-quarter bill and later fourth-quarter reconciliation.
Appeals or deduction changes may show as increases or decreases in the third and fourth quarter portions of the bill.

City of Wildwood tax map and Cape May County IMS steps
Users searching for a City of Wildwood tax map usually need the Tax Assessor route. Wildwood’s Assessor page points users to the Cape May County Internet Map Server for property values and parcel lookup.
Senior, disabled, surviving spouse and veteran deduction questions
The City Tax Collector page says eligibility and applications for Senior Citizen, Disabled, Surviving Spouse and Veteran deductions may be obtained from the Tax Assessor’s office.
The City notes that Senior Citizen, Disabled Citizen and Surviving Spouse PD#5 income statements are mailed in January and due March 1 each year to retain the $250 deduction.
Start with the Tax Assessor for eligibility and application routing. Then confirm the Tax Collector balance after the deduction is applied.
Mortgage escrow and City of Wildwood tax bills
If a mortgage company is responsible for paying your taxes, the City says the mortgage company receives the bill or notification by email, and the property owner receives an advice copy.
Search WIPP near the due date and confirm the payment posted.
Ask the mortgage company for payment date, amount, check number, tracking and account details.
Servicer transfers and refinances can interrupt payment routing. Check WIPP after the transfer.
Sewer, water and municipal-charge balances in Wildwood
The official WIPP link is labeled for tax, sewer and water account inquiry and online payments. The City also warns that sewer, miscellaneous charges and prior-year water payments can matter in accelerated tax sale timing when delinquent.
Confirm tax year, quarter, owner, property and Block/Lot before paying.
Confirm whether the balance is sewer rather than property tax. Sewer billing and collection routes may involve City offices.
Prior-year water balances can be included in tax sale risk if delinquent. Ask for payoff if a notice mentions prior-year water.
Accelerated tax sale, Tax Title Lien Certificate and lien redemption
The City of Wildwood has an accelerated tax sale each year. The City says delinquent taxes, sewer, miscellaneous charges and prior-year water payments remaining delinquent as of November 11 will be listed for tax sale and subject to additional charges.
The City says only certified funds will be accepted after November 10 for all delinquent payments.
Delinquent tax, sewer, miscellaneous and prior-year water balances can be listed for tax sale.
The accelerated tax sale is held in mid-December. Do not wait for the sale date to request payoff help.
What the tax sale means
The City’s explanation says a tax sale is not the immediate sale of the property. It is the sale of a lien against the property for unpaid taxes and other municipal charges. Investors bid on the interest rate, and the Tax Collector issues a Tax Title Lien Certificate.
How lien redemption works
Wildwood eCode fee details users often miss
The City’s online code adds a few practical fee details that are easy to miss when users only check the payment page.
The code lists a $5 fee for an initial duplicate tax bill and $25 for each later duplicate copy of the same tax year requested by the same person or entity.
The code says two redemption calculations may be provided within a calendar year at no cost to a party entitled to redeem, then $50 for each later calculation.
The code lists a $50 fee for each calculation requested by a party holding a tax lien certificate.
What if the Wildwood tax account, bill or payment does not look right?
Try fewer fields. Search by owner surname, property address without suffix, or Block and Lot from your bill or tax map.
Recent sales can leave older ownership in records. Use closing documents and call before paying if identity is unclear.
Do not pay twice immediately. Gather confirmation number, bank proof, account type, amount and date before calling.
Confirm whether the charge is property tax, sewer, water, miscellaneous charge or prior-year water.
Contact the Tax Office immediately. The City says not receiving a bill does not remove interest responsibility.
For mailed payments, include a self-addressed stamped envelope. For online payments, save the confirmation and later posted balance.

Can I pay City of Wildwood sewer or water through the same portal?
The City’s WIPP link is labeled for tax, sewer and water account inquiry and online payments. Confirm the account type before paying, because a sewer or water payment is not the same as a property tax payment.
What are the City of Wildwood tax due dates?
City of Wildwood property taxes are due February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. The City lists a 10-day grace period, but late payments after that period accrue interest from the original due date.
What happens if I did not receive my Wildwood tax bill?
Contact the Tax Office immediately for the amount owed. The City says failure to receive a bill does not exempt the taxpayer from interest, and mailing address updates should be made with the Tax Collector.
Should I call the Tax Collector or Tax Assessor?
Call the Tax Collector for payments, WIPP balances, receipts, delinquency, tax sale, lien redemption, sewer and water payment questions. Call the Tax Assessor for assessed value, tax map, deductions, assessment records, forms and parcel questions.
How do I find the City of Wildwood tax map?

No. City of Wildwood, North Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and West Wildwood are separate municipalities with separate tax offices and payment routes. Match the municipality, address, Block/Lot and official portal before paying.
What payment methods does the City of Wildwood Tax Office accept?
The official Tax Collector page says the office accepts cash, money order or checks, asks taxpayers to include the collector’s stub or Block and Lot, and states that the office does not have credit card capability at this time. If using WIPP online, review the live processor screen before submitting.
How do I redeem a Wildwood Tax Title Lien?
Request a statement from the Tax Collector and include the date the payment will be received. The City states that only certified funds are accepted for lien redemption, so do not estimate or send uncertified funds.
