Faulkner County, Arkansas · Tax payment and property-search guide
Find, Pay or Fix a Faulkner County Tax Account
Use this guide to pay real-estate or personal-property taxes, search a parcel, confirm the Conway or Greenbrier Collector office, get a paid receipt, or solve a blocked payment before the Arkansas deadline.
The steps below explain which office and record system you need before you enter payment details. TaxCollectors.org is independent and does not collect Faulkner County taxes.
Current-address correction: the Faulkner County Collector now lists the Greenbrier location at 89 N Broadview St., Greenbrier, AR 72058. Older copies of this article showed 11 Wilson Farm Rd.; do not use that outdated address.

Tax Lien Warning
⛔ Texas Attorney Fee Warning: After July 1, delinquent property taxes are referred to a collection attorney. An additional 15–20% attorney fee is added on top of your penalty and interest. On a $5,000 tax bill, this adds $750–$1,000 instantly. Pay before July 1 to avoid this.

What do you need to do today?
1
Pay or check a tax balance
Use the Collector and the county-linked tax-payment search. Verify personal property before a real-estate payment.
2
Search a property or assessed value
Use the Assessor-linked real-estate databases for parcel, owner, address, value and property-record research.
3
Fix assessment, Homestead or vehicle status
Start with the Assessor when the underlying record—not payment posting—is the problem.
Most important Faulkner rule: if personal-property taxes are owed, the county says it cannot accept your real-estate tax payment electronically until the personal-property tax is paid.
Choose the problem you need to solve
This page is organized around tasks, not repeated keyword blocks.
Online payment
How to pay Faulkner County taxes online safely
The safest route is to begin on Faulkner County’s own Pay Taxes Online or Collector page and then follow the county link to the authorized ActDataScout tax service.
Start on the Faulkner County government site
Confirm that you are in Faulkner County, Arkansas—not Conway County and not the City of Conway utility system.
Open the county-linked tax search
Use the personal-property and real-estate tax e-payment path. Do not enter card details on a lookalike payment site.
Search with the strongest identifier available
Use a taxpayer name, parcel, account, property address or tax-record details that match your statement or prior receipt.
Check personal-property status before real estate
If personal property is owed, pay or resolve it first because the county may block electronic real-estate payment.
Verify the tax year and property
Match the taxpayer, property or account, tax year, real-estate/personal-property type and amount. Do not pay a same-name record without confirming the property.
Review the fee at checkout
The Collector page says an online credit-card fee is charged. Because the exact processor fee can change, rely on the amount displayed before authorization rather than an old percentage from another website.
Save proof before closing the page
Keep the payment confirmation, receipt, tax year, account or parcel, amount, payment date and bank/card record.
Faulkner County property search: which database should you use?
“Property search” can mean two different things. The Assessor’s real-estate record is for ownership, parcel and assessed-value research; the Collector’s tax record is for amounts due, payment history and receipts.

County says online real-estate data is updated periodically, not continuously.
Search by parcel, owner or street address
Faulkner County’s Assessor links users to ARCountyData and actDataScout. ARCountyData’s Faulkner search includes parcel number, owner name, address, billing details, subdivision, legal description, acreage, sales and current tax-information filters.
Recent-sale tip: if you bought the property recently and the prior owner still appears, compare the parcel and legal description and contact the Assessor. Do not pay a record only because the street address is similar.
Check whether you also have personal property
Vehicles and other taxable personal property can create a separate county tax account.
Search the personal-property balance
Look for unpaid current or prior-year personal-property tax before trying the real-estate payment again.
Pay or resolve personal property first
Faulkner County states that personal-property taxes must be collected with or before real-estate taxes.
Retry the real-estate payment only after status is clear
If the portal still blocks payment, call the Collector with the account, tax year and screenshot or error message.
Do not bypass the rule by paying a random real-estate amount elsewhere. A payment that is not tied to the correct account or tax year can create a harder correction problem near the deadline.
Conway and Greenbrier
Faulkner County Tax Collector phone number, address and hours
Local timing tip: Greenbrier opens earlier Monday-Thursday, but closes at noon Friday. Conway keeps the same 8:00-4:30 schedule Monday-Friday. Call before driving when the issue involves a delinquent account, vehicle tag deadline or payment correction.
Faulkner County tax due dates, assessment dates and late-payment rules
Faulkner County separates the assessment deadline from the tax-payment deadline. Missing one can create a different 10% charge than missing the other.
January through May 31 — normal personal-property assessment period
Individuals and businesses normally list taxable personal property with the Assessor during this window.
2026 May 31 fell on a Sunday
Arkansas law moves the ordinary no-penalty assessment deadline to the following business day when May 31 is a Saturday, Sunday or postal holiday. For 2026, that was Monday, June 1.
First business day of March — tax books open
Previous-year real-estate and personal-property taxes become payable through the Collector.
By July 1 — statement check
The Collector says tax statements are mailed in spring and asks taxpayers to call if a statement has not arrived by July 1.
October 15, 2026 — normal payment deadline
October 15 falls on a Thursday in 2026, so the normal date applies unless an official closure or other legal exception changes your account.
After the payment deadline — delinquent balance
The county states that a 10% penalty is added to late personal-property and real-estate taxes, with 10% annual interest on delinquent real estate.
Weekend/holiday payment rule: Arkansas law can move an October 15 deadline that falls on a weekend or qualifying postal holiday. For any mailed payment close to the deadline, keep mailing proof and verify the controlling rule with the Collector.
Do not use a generic penalty calculator. The old version of this page included national and Texas-specific penalty content. For a delinquent Faulkner account, use the live county balance or ask the Collector for a payoff instead of estimating interest and costs.
Statements and tax-year confusion
Why the tax year may look one year behind
Faulkner County explains that Arkansas collects real-estate and personal-property taxes one year in arrears. The property is assessed first; the resulting tax is collected in the following year.
Example
A property assessed during 2025 generally produces the tax collected during the 2026 March-to-October payment season. That is why the year on an assessment record, statement and payment screen can look different if you expect same-year billing.
No statement by July 1?
Do not assume nothing is owed. Search the tax record and call 501-450-4921 to confirm the taxpayer, property, tax year, mailing address and amount due.
Mortgage or escrow taxpayer?
Check the county account before paying yourself
Compare your mortgage escrow disbursement history
Do not assume the lender paid just because taxes are escrowed
Avoid a duplicate payment unless the Collector confirms it is still due
Mailing-address problem: payment questions belong with the Collector, but an underlying owner or property-record correction may also require the Assessor. Updating one office does not automatically prove every county record changed.
Assessment before payment
Personal-property assessment: vehicles, businesses and the 2026 purchase rule
The Assessor—not the Collector—creates or updates personal-property assessments. The Collector later collects the tax generated from those assessment records.
Individual personal property
Normal annual listing period: first working day in January through May 31.
Personal property can include vehicles and other taxable movable property.
A 10% assessment penalty can apply when property is listed late.
The Assessor says an initial listing for a person with no prior assessment cannot be completed by telephone.
Commercial personal property
Businesses must list furniture, fixtures, machinery, equipment, inventories, supplies, vehicles, aircraft and other taxable assets.
Commercial personal property cannot be assessed by phone.
County commercial forms must be signed.
Commercial questions: 501-450-4905 ext. 1242.
Property bought April 1 through May 31: Arkansas now allows 60 days
Arkansas Act 551 of 2025 changed the special acquisition rule. Tangible personal property acquired from April 1 through May 31 can be assessed without the delinquency penalty within 60 days after acquisition.
Official-source conflict to know: Faulkner County’s Collector page still contains a general statement that “new purchases” have 30 days after purchase. The later Arkansas Act specifically changed the April 1-May 31 window from 30 to 60 days. For property bought outside that window or any unusual ownership date, confirm the deadline with the Assessor before relying on this exception.
May 31 weekend rule: Act 551 also says that if May 31 falls on a Saturday, Sunday or postal holiday, the ordinary no-penalty assessment deadline moves to the following business day.
Two different 10% penalties can be confused. A late-assessment penalty is an Assessor-side issue; a late tax-payment penalty is a Collector-side issue. Paying the tax does not automatically correct an omitted or late assessment.
How to get and use a paid Faulkner County tax receipt
Faulkner County’s Collector says Arkansas vehicle registration can require the title or purchase document, insurance, current-year assessment and proof of paid taxes.
Confirm current assessment
If you are a new resident, recently bought a vehicle or have no prior assessment, contact the Assessor before tag-renewal day.
Pay the required personal-property tax
Use the correct tax year and account. Resolve any prior county tax issue before assuming the tag office can complete registration.
Save the receipt immediately
Keep the online receipt, confirmation email, screenshot or counter receipt together with the payment date and amount.
Check that the payment has posted
An authorization screen proves you submitted payment; a posted county receipt is stronger evidence that the tax record was updated.
Take the proof required for the tag transaction
If the Revenue office cannot verify the record electronically, use the paid receipt and current assessment or call the Collector.

Important 2026 law update
Faulkner County Homestead Credit: use the 2026 $675 amount
Three official texts show three historical amounts. The county Assessor webpage still says $600, the older county Homestead application PDF linked from that page is revised 2012 and says $350, while Arkansas Act 174 of 2026 increased the credit to $675 for assessment years beginning on or after January 1, 2026. The 2026 law is the current amount for the 2026 assessment year.
Who handles the credit?
Register with the Faulkner County Assessor, not the Collector. The homestead is generally the qualifying property used as the owner’s principal residence.
Current-bill deadline
The Faulkner Assessor page lists October 15 as the deadline to apply for the Homestead Credit on the current tax bill. Ask the Assessor how a late or recently purchased homestead is handled.
What the county application asks for
Owner name and mailing address
Parcel number and legal/property description
Physical address and acreage
Closing date and assessment year
Principal-residence confirmation
Age/disability information when claiming related benefits
Do not use the dollar amount printed on the old PDF as the 2026 credit amount. Use the county form only after confirming it is still the form the Assessor wants, and use the current state law for the credit amount.
Age 65 or totally disabled value-freeze questions
Amendment 79 can provide additional assessment protection for qualifying homeowners age 65 or older or totally disabled. These questions concern taxable assessed value and belong with the Assessor.
100% service-connected disabled veteran exemption
The Collector page says qualifying veterans rated 100% totally and permanently service-connected disabled may be entitled to a tax exemption. Ask the county for current proof requirements and do not assume the Homestead Credit application also completes the veteran-exemption process.
Property value changed? Use the Assessor and Equalization Board route
Faulkner County says it is in a countywide reappraisal cycle scheduled to be completed in 2028. A higher assessed value is not fixed by the Collector payment desk.
Read the assessment or value-change notice
Match the parcel, owner, property characteristics and new value. Online Assessor data is for tax purposes and may be updated periodically rather than in real time.
Ask the Assessor for an informal review
Arkansas’s current assessment calendar provides for a meeting with the Assessor or designee to discuss a new value before a formal Equalization Board petition.
Prepare evidence
Use comparable sales, photographs of relevant property condition, measurements, appraisal information or a clear factual correction. A tax-payment receipt does not prove the valuation is wrong.
Formal Equalization Board deadline
State guidance says the petition deadline is the third Monday in August. In 2026 that date was August 17, which has already passed as of this August 20 refresh.
If the ordinary deadline has passed, call immediately
Ask the Assessor or County Clerk what review, correction or later appeal path—if any—remains for your exact notice and circumstances.
Meeting location: Faulkner County says Equalization Board meetings are held at the Faulkner County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Courtroom A, 801 Locust St., unless otherwise specified.

Micro-level troubleshooting
Common Faulkner County tax problems and the next step
Tax bill cannot be found
Try owner/business name, parcel, account, street address and the correct tax year. If the account should exist, call before the deadline.
Electronic statement is wrong
Faulkner County instructs taxpayers to call 501-450-4921 when the electronic statement has errors or lists property they do not own.
You did not receive a statement
Do not wait for another mailing. Search the record and call the Collector for balance and account help.
Mortgage company should pay
Check the Collector record and your escrow activity before paying yourself. Duplicate tax payments can create a refund problem.
Property was recently sold
Use parcel/legal-description details and contact the Assessor if the owner record has not caught up with the deed.
You moved from another Arkansas county
Keep the prior county paid-tax receipt. Faulkner County says a prior-county receipt can help with vehicle registration verification.
Efficient phone script
“I need help with the Faulkner County account for [name/property]. The tax year is [year], the parcel/account is [number], and I need to confirm [balance / payment posting / personal-property status / receipt]. I have [confirmation or error message] available.”
About photos and reviews: map photos and user reviews can help you recognize the building or understand a visitor’s experience, but they are not reliable sources for payment rules, legal deadlines, phone numbers or addresses. One current third-party directory even labels the Assessor phone as the Collector contact. Use the official county details above before driving or paying.
