Search, Pay or Visit the Right Broward Tax Collector Office
Use this guide to search Broward County property taxes, pay online, call the correct phone number, renew a Business Tax Receipt or decide whether you need Fort Lauderdale, Plantation or a registration kiosk.
The biggest mistake is using the closest “near me” result before matching the service. Fort Lauderdale handles tax services; Plantation handles vehicle, vessel, title, registration and parking-permit work.

Where should Broward residents start?
Use the official Broward property-tax portal. Match owner, address, account, tax year and discount month before checkout.
Use the Broward County Property Appraiser, not the Tax Collector, for value, homestead, ownership and mailing-address records.
Use the Plantation motor-vehicle office or an eligible online, Express Lane or kiosk route.
Renew before October 1. New applications at the Fort Lauderdale office have a 4:30 p.m. cutoff.
Choose by service first. A kiosk may be closer, but it only handles eligible routine registration renewal.
Use official online records first, then the public-records route if you need a specific Tax Collector record.
Broward County Tax Collector offices, addresses and cutoffs
Broward’s official office page separates tax services from motor-vehicle services. Do not plan a visit based on county name alone.

Andrews Ave, A100, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 | 954-357-4829 | Property tax, Local Business Tax, hunting and fishing license transactions. | New Business Tax Receipt applications are accepted until 4:30 p.m. No vehicle, vessel or mobile-home registration service. |

Broward County Tax Collector office near me: how to avoid the wrong counter
Start online. Visit Fort Lauderdale only when the portal, mail route or phone support does not solve the issue.
Use Plantation. A Fort Lauderdale tax counter cannot complete vehicle, vessel, mobile-home title or registration work.
Try eligible online renewal, Express Lane or a kiosk. Kiosks print the registration and decal on site.

Broward County Tax Collector property search: tax bill vs property record
“Property search” can mean two different things in Broward. The Tax Collector portal is for bills, balances, payments and receipts. The Property Appraiser is for ownership, folio, assessed value, exemptions and parcel details.

|---|---|---|---|
| Current tax bill or amount due | Tax Collector portal | Tax year, bill status, discounts, balance and payment history. | Change value, owner or exemption. |
| Owner, folio, address or parcel details | Property Appraiser | Ownership, situs address, values, exemptions, sales and parcel data. | Accept tax payment. |
| Assessment or exemption correction | Property Appraiser / VAB route | Assessment and petition-related information. | Cancel statutory payment deadlines. |
| Receipt or delinquent payoff | Tax Collector | Collection, paid status and current payment route. | Revalue the parcel. |

Broward County Tax Collector appointments, walk-ins and wait-time reality

Broward’s DASH mobile units use confirmed appointments for select driver license and ID services at changing community locations. These are not the same as a normal tax-office counter visit.
